Day 01: Guwahati to Umiam Lake

Arrive at Guwahati and meet our representative. Drive to Shillong. Stay at Umium Lake. Enjoy the beautiful lake view and stroll around to enjoy the nature. Overnight at Umium Lake.


Day 02: Umiam Lake- Shillong - Cherapunjee

Morning post breakfast drive to Shillong. First visit to Don Bosco Museum, one of the largest indigenous culture representing museum in SE Asia. Later drive to Cherrapunjee. On the way stop at various valley and picture point. on way drive Elephant falls – a beautiful three steps waterfall, visit the Nohkalikai falls – the highest waterfall in India. From here drive to the Mawsmai cave with its innumerable forms, shapes and sizes of stalactites and stalagmites, a handiwork of years of natural abrasion and underground water. Also visit the picturesque Seven Sisters Fall – a seven segmented waterfalls that plunge alluringly during the monsoon season.Overnight at Cherrapunjee.

 

Day 03: Mawlynnong Day trip

After breakfast drive to Mawlynnong located in the East Khasi Hill district of Meghalaya, considered as the ‘’Asia’s cleanest village’’ located in the East Khasi Hills, very close to Bangladesh; the village has a lot to offer for its visitors from typical Khasi huts to the Living Root Bridge. Later drive to Dawki (Bangladesh Border), about 12 km from Mawlynnong. Visit the Thlumuwi Falls and Dawki Bridge. Evening drive back to Cherrapunjee for overnight. Overnight at Cherrapunjee.
 

Day 04: Cherapunjee to Guwahti

After breakfast drive to Guwahati. Check Into Hotel and Leisure. Overnight stay at Guwahati.


Day 05: Guwahati - Pakyong - Gangtok

After breakfast Drop at Guwahati Airport for Departure. On Arrival at Pakyong Airport drive to Gangtok Hotel and Overnight stay.


Day 06: Gangtok to Lachung

After breakfast drive to lachung; for about 6 hours, enroute visit singhik view point, seven sister waterfalls, Naga water bheema and twin falls, stop on way for lunch. Reach lachung by evening . dinner at hotel . Overnight hat at lachung hotel.


Day 07: Lachung- Yumthang - Gangtok

Early Morning after breakfast visit Yumthang-valley (known as Valley of Flowers), Yumthang is the summer grazing ground of the yaks & winter playgrounds of yetis. On the way back visit the Hot Spring considered to have medicinal properties. Back to hotel for lunch and transfer to Gangtok. Overnight stay at Gangtok hotel.

Day 08: Tsongmo Lake-Baba Mandir

After breakfast day excursion to the oval shaped Tsomgo Lake (40 kms from Gangtok departure in the morning) - situated at a height of 3,780 mts. with an average depth of 50 ft and home to the Brahminy duck and several migratory birds. On the way stop at Kyongnosla The cool water of the Lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around. Travel to Baba Mandir another 17 kms beyond Tsongo lake.Return to Gangtok. Overnight halt at Gangtok Hotel.

Optional Nathula (Additional Cost of Rs  6000 per vehicle) (14140 Ft / 4310 Mts / 20 Kms in 1Hrs one way from Tshangu Lake) Baba Mandir (13100Ft / 3994 Mts / 16Kms in 1Hrs one way from Tshangu Lake) is an Indo China border, controlled by the Indian Army & is situated approx 20 Kms ahead of Tshangu Lake at an height of 14140 Ft / 4310. The journey to Nathula & Baba Mandir is same up to 16 Kms. At this point the right arm of the “V” which is 4 Kms takes one to Baba Mandir & left arm of the “V” which is 4 Kms takes one to Nathula.

One can opt for Nathula Excursion by paying a supplement cost which varies from month to month. Nathula permit gets confirmed 24 hrs prior to the journey date & it is subjected to permit availability as it is allotted as per lottery. Nathula is closed on Monday & Tuesday for tourist. Organizing the permit at the last moment is not possible & a clear window of 72 Hrs with proper documents is required to process the permit. There is no refund, in case the permit is confirmed by Sikkim tourism & due to whatsoever reason (Land slide, Heavy rain fall, VIP Movement, Health issue etc) one is not able to visit.


Day 09: Gangtok - Darjeeling 

After breakfast transfer from Gangtok to Darjeeling. Enjoy the evening with short walk around mall road. Overnight at Darjeeling.


Day 10: Tiger Hill and Darjeeling Sight Seeing

Early morning (4 am) visit Tiger hill, Batasia loop and Ghoom Monastery. After return have your breakfast and proceed for Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Ropeway, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre, Tensing Rock, Japanese Temple.

 

Day 11: Gangtok to New Jalpaiguri/Airport

After breakfast at your hotel and proceed for the NJP Station / Bagdogra (IXB). Board your train/flight for your onward destination with cheerful memories of your holiday.
